Privacy policy
Last updated October 25, 2026Meld keeps your scores on your device and doesn't collect your personal information.
The short version
Meld doesn't collect, store or share your personal information. The players, games and scores you enter stay on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app.
Who we are
Meld is made by Dylan Bono ("we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy, email dylan@dylanbono.com.
What Meld keeps on your device
To keep score, Meld saves the following on your iPhone or iPad:
- Player names you type in
- Games, hands, bids, meld and trick points
- Your settings, such as the target score and point style
This information stays on your device. We never receive it and can't see it.
Device backups
If your device backs up to iCloud or to a computer, Meld's data may be included in that backup. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
What Meld doesn't do
- Meld doesn't require an account or ask for your email.
- Meld has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- Meld doesn't sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
- Meld doesn't access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.
Purchases
If Meld offers in-app purchases, Apple processes them. We don't receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information. Apple may give us anonymous, combined sales reports.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings.
Sharing from the app
When you share a result from Meld, iOS asks where it should go. What you share goes only to the app or person you pick.
This website
This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. It's hosted on Firebase Hosting and uses Google Fonts, both run by Google. To deliver the pages, Google may process technical information such as your IP address and browser type under Google's privacy policy.
Children
Meld doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting your data
You can delete a game or player inside Meld at any time. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If Meld ever starts collecting information, this policy will say so before that happens.
